SelfTow ("we," "us," or "our") operates selftow.com and provides on-demand roadside assistance and towing services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

When you use SelfTow we collect the following information:

Contact information — your mobile phone number
Location data — your GPS coordinates and address at the time of your service request
Vehicle information — make, model, color, and type of vehicle needing service
Destination — the address you want your vehicle towed to
Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers
Service details — type of service, schedule preference, and booking reference

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Dispatch a tow driver to your location
Send you a one-time SMS booking confirmation and reference number
Process your payment securely
Contact you regarding your active service request
Improve the reliability and quality of our service

We do not use your information for marketing purposes. We do not sell your information to third parties.

3. SMS Messaging

By providing your phone number and completing a booking, you consent to receive a one-time SMS confirmation from SelfTow. This message contains your booking reference number, pickup location, and estimated driver arrival time.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate SelfTow:

Google Maps — address lookup and route calculation. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy

These providers receive only the minimum information required to perform their function. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain booking and contact information for up to 12 months for operational and legal purposes. Payment records are retained as required by applicable law. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

6. Location Data

Your GPS location is collected only at the time you initiate a service request and is used solely to dispatch a driver to your location. We do not track your location before or after your service request.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Payment data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our servers.

8. Children's Privacy

SelfTow is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
